DOES THE 30 DAY REEL CHALLENGE WORK?
What is the 30 day reel challenge?
Are you considering trying the 30 day reel challenge and want to know if it’s worth it? Or have you already decided to try the 30 Day reel challenge and are now wondering where you went wrong? There are so many factors to consider when posting instagram reels and just throwing something up last minute every day for 30 days is not going to cut it!
If you haven’t heard of the 30 day reel challenge, it’s basically exactly what it sounds like. Posting reels for 30 days and monitoring the growth of your account!
So the reason you’re here: DOES THE 30 DAY REEL CHALLENGE WORK?
To put it simply:
It has for some people, it could for some people, and for the majority of people: probably not.
Why the 30 day reel challenge doesn’t work👇🏻
• Burn out- you don’t even finish the challenge. Posting everyday is too much for you to handle. If this is the case, don’t worry about the challenge, post consistently in a way that WORKS for you. 3x a week? 2x? Great! Start there and see if you can manage it! Posting for 30 days, getting burned out and then not posting for 2 months helps nobody!
• No strategy-like I said above, last minute reels just to have something posted aren’t going to cut it. Think about “pain points”, what content can you create that is a relatable problem your ideal client or customer would connect with and what about your product or service is the solution?
• No CTA- CTA stands for call to action. You quite literally need to spell out for people what you would like them to do next: “FOLLOW FOR MORE” “SHOP NOW” “Head to the LINK IN BIO”
• Bad quality- quality over quantity always, idc what other people say. If you post a landscape video with a TikTok watermark and bad lighting, it’s not going to entice people to watch your Reel. I’m not saying to only post perfection, because obviously perfection doesn’t exist, what I’m saying is to set the proper stage for success. Once you do that, then I say POST THE DANG REEL. Don’t make this point an excuse to pick yourself apart and not post at all! Have good lighting, proper dimensions and legible text then boom POST IT.
Is the 30 day reel challenge worth it?
My closing thoughts are this:
If you have the bandwidth to attempt the 30 day challenge, go for it! If not, don’t sweat it. Not everyone who participates sees much growth (and end up getting burned out anyways) while on the flip side - some people who post only 2x a week end up blowing up! Do what makes sense for you!
